It’s my passion and purpose to support women in aligning with their authentic selves, allowing them to thrive in life and work.
HOW DID I GET HERE?
I often ask myself that question and have moments where everything seems so unreal because I am on a path that is finally in alignment with my authentic self. For so long it didn’t feel that way for me – I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, or rather had limiting beliefs in my head about what I COULD do.
I never in a million years thought I would be an entrepreneur because I had so many blocks and old thought patterns about what the shy, introverted and anxious me could do. I didn’t trust myself and I didn’t listen to my intuition telling me (or screaming!) that there was something more… something better for me… a life where I felt happier and way less stressed, AND that I was WORTHY of this life.
I was also way too SCARED to make any sort of change (hello fear!). I felt blocked and unhappy, and felt this way for a long time.
I worked in a highly stressful corporate recruitment job where I never truly felt like myself. I always felt like I had to be someone who I wasn’t, or fit into some kind of mould.
I reached a peak of anxiety and felt completely burnt out – all areas of my life were suffering. AND I was also experiencing other symptoms like digestive upset, food sensitivities and skin breakouts.
Rock bottom was Christmas Eve 2015
I was with my family and work emails were lighting up my phone. I completely broke down. I couldn’t handle any amount of stress without it sending me over the edge emotionally.
I just wanted to feel calmer, more confident, energized and HAPPIER. I decided at that moment to take back control of my life – make a change and try anything I could to feel better…
I know I needed support so I sought help with various holistic professionals, and did tons of self-work too.
I tried SO MANY THINGS...
And after going through a long process of trial-and-error, and deeply exploring all of my stress and anxiety…I made a discovery…
I could get my body’s stress cycle to work WITH me not AGAINST me!
This allowed me to feel much calmer and less anxious, AND I gained the clarity and confidence I needed to take the next steps in my life and career.
So what did I do next?
I made the big decision to leave my job and go back to school for holistic nutrition! But school didn’t start for another year… so I (reluctantly) had to stay in the same job.
I was committed to using these practices and experienced a real moment of transformation when I started actually feeling HAPPIER and more relaxed at work.
I even felt more in alignment and noticed myself responding to stressful situations with WAY more ease. Honestly, I was shocked!
Nothing about my external environment had changed – I was exposed to all the same stressors – but through diligently using the tools I had developed and curated, my internal experience changed COMPLETELY.
This discovery made me think, “what kind of results could be possible for other women who are also unhappy, stressed and anxious at work or in other areas of life? For those who want to find happiness, confidence and fulfillment in their lives again?”
This idea stayed with me throughout school and as I built my coaching practice. I knew I had to do something with it!
I now call my process the Stress Resiliency System™️. I use this approach to help my clients reduce their stress and anxiousness – which gives them the clarity, confidence and calm they need to take the next steps in life and work. AND saves them TONS of time, energy and money because they don’t have to go through all of the trial and error that I did.
